Project Background
This research institute mainly focuses on the R&D and innovation in fields such as resources and energy, new materials, ecology and health. The core demand of the client in this project is that, in the process of research and preparation of precious metal catalysts, it is necessary to evaporate and crystallize 5 tons of catalyst slurry every day, and finally obtain solid powdery catalyst crystalline salt with low moisture content.
GRELLIX Solution
After conducting evaporation tests and water quality inspections on the water samples provided by the customer, the GRELLIX technical team customized an HP-G-250 type scraper vacuum crystallizer with a daily processing capacity of 5 tons for the customer. Due to the limited on-site space of the customer and the lack of steam source and cooling water, we equipped the customer with a steam generator and a cooling tower. The customer was very satisfied with the equipment after inspecting it at our factory, and it has been operating continuously and stably for nearly 2 years.
Processing Effects & Advantages
After the customer’s catalyst slurry is processed by the GRELLIX vacuum crystallizer, solid powdery crystalline salt with a moisture content below 10% is obtained. The evaporation and crystallization discharge is stable, which fully meets the customer’s requirements. The evaporation and crystallization system consumes an average of 1.1 tons of steam per ton of materials processed, and the entire system covers an area of only about 10 square meters. Moreover, it has a high degree of automation: the system is equipped with a Siemens PLC control module and the Shuiqing Cloud APP, which can realize remote monitoring and unattended operation, and has been highly recognized by the customer.
